Hotels and Cars

The right room, and the car that meets the flight.

The Practice

Where you stay, and how you move.

A good hotel is the easy part. The right room within it, on the right floor and the right side of the building, is the work, and it is the difference between a night you tolerate and one you remember.

We hold preferred standing with the hotels and the groups worth knowing. That standing brings you the upgrade, the late checkout, the credit against your bill. None of it changes what we recommend, because the hotel does not pay us. You do.

On the ground, the same principle holds. A chauffeur who knows the city, or a car you drive yourself, and, when it matters, one waiting at the door while you are still in the air.

In Practice

01

Benefits that reach you

Preferred standing brings a defined set of things: a room upgrade on arrival, a late checkout to the early afternoon, a credit of a hundred dollars or more against dining or the spa, breakfast for two. They are confirmed before you travel, in writing, so nothing rests on the mood at the front desk. And because the hotel does not pay us, none of it steers the advice.

02

The room, not only the hotel

Anyone can hold the right hotel. We hold the right room within it, the corner on a high floor, the side away from the lift and the plant, the suite that earns its number and the one that does not. We name it, request it and confirm it, so you arrive to the room you were promised rather than the room that happened to be free.

03

A chauffeur, or the keys

For a city you would rather not drive, a chauffeur who knows which entrance is quicker at six on a Friday. For a coast you would rather drive yourself, the car you actually want, delivered to the door with the paperwork already done. Either way, one arrangement, made in advance.

04

The car that meets the flight

A transfer is only as good as its timing. The driver holds your flight number and watches it, so an early landing or a two-hour delay changes nothing you have to manage. The car is there when you clear the doors, kerbside, or airside where the airport allows, and there is one number to call if anything moves.

The Standing

The hotel does not pay us. You do.

Preferred-partner programmes exist to bring benefits to guests who arrive through the right advisor. We use them for you. What we do not do is take a commission that decides which hotel we suggest.

So the credit, the upgrade and the late checkout are yours, and the recommendation behind them is honest. Those two facts sit together, and they are the point.

Questions

If the hotel does not pay you, how do the upgrades and the credit work?

Through standing, not commission. We are a preferred partner to the hotel groups worth the name, which entitles our clients to a defined set of benefits: an upgrade, a late checkout, a credit, breakfast. Our fee comes from you and only from you, so the benefits reach you without anything shaping the advice behind them.

Can you request a specific room, rather than a room type?

Yes. We name the room, the floor, the aspect, the corner, the side of the building, and put the request in writing to the hotel, then confirm it before you travel. A category guarantees the class of room. We go after the particular one.

Do you arrange a chauffeur, or a car I drive myself?

Both, and often on the same trip. A driver for the cities and the late arrivals, self-drive for the roads worth having to yourself. We match the car and the driver to the day rather than the other way round.

What happens if my flight lands early or runs late?

Nothing you have to think about. The driver holds your flight number and tracks it from departure, adjusting to an early arrival or a long delay without being asked. If anything changes on your side, there is one number, answered within twelve hours and far sooner on the day of travel.
